Doom Scores at the Box Office

Jon Stewart was interviewing the Rock last week on the Daily Show and he gave Stewart a BFG prop to try. Stewart is known for being an active gamer and he was clearly knowledgable about the Doom game. A check on Rotten Tomatoes Doom page shows the movie only has about 20% positive reviews but there were a few good ones. Variety gave it a postive review:
"Videogame geeks and LAN-party enthusiasts everywhere, prepare to meet your Doom -- because it's really not all that bad."Despite the negative reviews Doom came in first place over the weekend earning $15,488,870 at the box office. This news may bode well for future game to movie releases like the upcoming Halo film.
