Game Developers Conference Postponed Due to Coronavirus

The Game Developers Conference has been postponed due to the coronavirus. The GDC 2020 was set to run from March 16th–20th in San Francisco. A new date has not yet been set.
The Game Developers Conference has been postponed due to the coronavirus. The GDC 2020 was set to run from March 16th–20th in San Francisco. A new date has not yet been set.
There are a total of 13 coronavirus cases in San Francisco. There are also other cases in California and the western U.S.
The GDC says in a statement, "We want to thank all our customers and partners for their support, open discussions and encouragement. As everyone has been reminding us, great things happen when the community comes together and connects at GDC. For this reason, we fully intend to host a GDC event later in the summer. We will be working with our partners to finalize the details and will share more information about our plans in the coming weeks."

It will be difficult to set a new date until more is known about what will happen the virus outbreak. If the outbreak is very bad and/or long lasting then some major conferences may end up having to an online event or postpone until 2021.
