Halo: Reach Arrives in Stores

Halo: Reach, the third installment in Bungie's wildly successful Halo series was released today. There are signs Halo: Reach will also be a blockbuster. InformationWeek says gamers "lined up for blocks" to be the first to get a copy.
CNBC calls the launch of Halo: Reach the "entertainment industry's biggest moment of the year" - meaning it will dwarf even box office hits.
Best Buy held midnight release parties nationwide for the launch of the game. There was a packed launch event at Best Buy Theater in Times Square. BBC News is also reporting long midnight lines. Microsoft also held launch parties.
The plot of Halo: Reach revolves around planet Reach, which is mankind's last line of defense between the encroaching Covenant and their ultimate goal, the destruction of Earth. If it falls, humanity will be perched on the brink of destruction. The game has garnered great reviews according to Metacritics' listing.
In London's Trafalgar square the launch of the game was kicked off with a jetpack Spartan stunt. Take a look:
