InstantAction Wants to Move Console Games Online

Instant Action is an online gaming network that is launching next year. The concept behind the network is too move first-person shooters and multi-player type game to the web. These games tend to be more popular on consoles that people pbay several hundred dollars for so it will be tough for the company to get poeple to move people away from their consoles. The company is reaching out to developers. They plan to launch a public beta early this year
InstantAction emerged from beta in early 2009. It was developed by GarageGames and featured 3D games. Some of the games include Galcon, Ace of Aces, Instant Jam and Think Tanks.
GarageGames announced in late 2010 that they would be shutting down the domain. Torque management said in a short post, "Today, InstantAction informed employees that it will be winding down operations. While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support."
