Jack in the Box Lures Gamers With Prizes
Posted on August 24, 2009
Jack in the Box is trying to lure gamers into its fast food restaurants with its latest promotion. The Jack's Big Rip-off website (no longer available) has details about the prizes, which are $5,000 game rooms.
Adweek reports that game pieces on drink cups with combo meals purchased from the fast food chain tie in with the game site.
Teka O'Rourke, director of promotions for Jack in the Box, says in a statement, "Gaming has become extremely popular, especially among one of our core audience -- men 18 to 24. So bringing Jack in the Box and the gaming world together through Jack's Big Rip-Off is a great match."
Jack's Big Rip-off is a tongue-in-cheek name. It might make some people think entering is not worth it.
