Nintendo Lowers Price of Nintendo 2DS to $99.99
Posted on August 22, 2015
Nintendo has announced it will be lowering the price of the Nintendo 2DS to $99.99 on August 30th. This is a $30 or 23% drop from the $129.99 price.
The 2DS console will stop come with a digital version of Mario Kart 7. Nintendo says it also has a new title out for the 2DS called Little Battlers eXperience. The game lets players build battle robots using 4,000 in-game parts.
Nintendo's Scott Moffitt says in a statement, "At a suggested retail price of $99.99, Nintendo 2DS is an even more attractive introductory option for first-time gamers. The new lower-priced hardware combined with the strong lineup of new games launching this year and arguably the best library of games in this generation makes it a great time to be a Nintendo fan."
The $99.99 price should help more 2DS consoles leave store shelves this holiday season.
