Paris Hilton's Name Quest

Early reports indicated that Paris Hilton announced her new game at the E3 Expo by the wrong name. Paris Hilton reportedly called the game Diamond Quest instead of Jewel Jam -- even though she was surrounded by Jewel Jam logos and promotional materials at her table at E3.

Paris reportedly said, "Sorry I'm late. "I'm really excited to have my new video game, 'Diamondquest.' Thank you all for coming, and you can download the game."

However, E Online reports that Gameloft says the name of the game was meant to be Diamond Quest all along. E Online says, "On Friday, a publicist for Gameloft tried to back Hilton up, saying that Diamond Quest was one of several names being bandied about for the game before the company settled on Jewel Jam. Moments later, the rep called back, this time insisting that the game's name had been changed to Paris Hilton Diamond Quest from Gameloft just moments before her announcement, despite the slew of promo materials to the contrary. Jewel Jam, the rep claimed, was simply a working title."

Did Paris flub or did she manage to call the game by the right name despite being surrounded by Jewel Jam marketing materials? I guess we will never really know. It is definitely going to be called Diamond Quest now anyway so it doesn't really matter. This is good because Diamond Quest is the better name anyway. A press release from Gameloft confirms the Diamond Quest name and describes the mobile game that will debut in June.
