A new study has foundthat playing Tetris can help reduce the impact of PTSD. It will not make the problem go away, but it can help. In the experiment, subjects were asked to view a disturbing film. NBC News reports that the group of subjects that played Tetris in the following week suffered fewer flashbacks than those who did not play Tetris. Take a look:
This is not the first study on using Tetris to reduce the effects of traumatic stress. A BBC News report says a 2009 study found that subjects who played Tetris had fewer flashbacks. In some way Tetris seems to help occupy a person's mental focus so they don't flashback on stressful incidents.
