Sony to Launch 1TB PlayStation 4 Console

Sony has announced it will be launch a 1TB PS4 console. The console is called PS4 Ultimate Player 1TB Edition. The black console comes in a blue and white box.

Sony says in a statement, "Offering twice the storage of the existing PS4, you’ll be able to download more of the games you love to your PS4, extend your play with more great add-on content and save and share even more of your best gaming highlights."

Microsoft also recently announced plans for a 1TB Xbox One console. A release date for the 1TB PS4 in the U.S. has not been announced. Engadget reports that a U.S. release date seems inevitable based on an FCC filing.

Sony also released a promotion for the 1TB PS4. It says this will enable you to save more epic gaming moments to share with your friends. There are slim 4TB portable hard drives on the market so there is no reason Sony and Microsoft could not offer even more storage in the future. Take a look:
