XCM's Eye-Candy Shells Add Bling to Nintendo DSi
Posted on July 16, 2009
You can bling up your portable Nintendo DSi gaming device with these replacement shells from XCM. XCM's Eye-Candy Shells for the DSi are both bright and transparent. They come in several colors and can be found on xcm.cc. Each XCM Eye-Candy shell kit costs $26.
Nintendo's portable Nintendo DS gaming devices recently passed the 100 million units mark. This figure includes all of Nintendo's DS consoles - DS, DS Lite and DSi. Kotaku says the Nintendo DS is still 19 million shy of the Game Boy.
While 100 million is an impressive number, the DS will still have to top 119 million to topple Game Boy's record-setting number. Of course, it took the Game Boy 16 years to hit that mark.
With the release of the Nintendo DSi in the U.S. earlier this year it seems likely that the Nintendo DS will eventually surpass the Game Boy in units sold.
Here's a video showing a Nintendo DSi with the transparent green version of the XCM Eye Candy Housing.
